A couple of months ago, I blogged about fully finishing my
reindeer candle ring, and that I did...—with crystals and beads and pompoms and
sleigh bells. When January rolled around, it was either enter it as a miniature
in a quilt show or sentence it to a drawer until next December. I went with the quilt show and
was I ever glad I did!
It was a complete shock, surprise, and thrill of a lifetime
to get an e-mail a couple of days before the MQX East show, that Rudolph and
friends had won a ribbon in the computerized quilting division. At the awards
ceremony, there was no Vera Wang gown to trip over, and fortunately not even
stairs to climb, but I was glowing more than any starlet at the Oscars… so
excited.
The proud mom!
Now that winning a ribbon in a major show is crossed off my bucket list, I guess I can stop sewing.
NOT!
I have now started another mission to fully embellish my “Spring Cottages”… and we will keep you posted on how that ends!
